New Construction - New addition, old-house charmWDC built this addition after tearing down an existing screen-porch on the spot. A window and door were salvaged from the original footprint and incorporated into the new addition. Inside, it features laundry-hookup, a vaulted ceiling, and a small bath including a standing shower.
Remodel - Victorian Master BathroomStarting with a complete gut, this master bathroom was overhauled from floor to ceiling. Walls, plumbing, and electrical were moved to make the most of the available space. An antique clawfoot tub was installed using new chrome fixtures. A vessel sink was custom-fit to an antique dresser, which is used as a bathroom vanity. A hex tile floor, beadboard, and custom trimwork finishes off the historic look.
New Construction - Custom Two-Story Arts & Crafts Style GarageWDC built this beautiful two-story garage from start to finish, including custom trim and brackets that match the owner's bungalow home. It's the talk of the neighborhood!
New Construction - Screen PorchWDC built a new screened-in side porch for this charming summer cottage; work included building, roofing, and installing stairs, trimwork and shingle siding.
Cedar Siding ReplacementWorn and rotting cedar siding was replaced, and areas of the exterior that did not originally have cedar were sided to match. The client's deck railing was replaced and resided. The deck framing, which had become a safety concern, was reinforced using sturdier construction techniques. Siding was later stained to match. Sheetrocked Fireplace & Custom Poplar MantelThese design-savvy clients wanted their brick fireplace sheetrocked to compliment their contemporary decor and serve as a backdrop for a large flat-screen tv. Custom shelving and a bracketless mantel were built using poplar wood, which was stained to match their existing wood finishes. Full kitchen renovationThese before and after photos show what a dramatic transformation this simple kitchen went through. WDC built the custom cabinetry, laid a new porcelain tile floor, installed a farm house sink, and added new butcher-block countertops. The results speak for themselves! A little paint goes a long way!The owners of this beautiful bungalow knew that a new coat of paint would do wonders for the exterior of their house - and look at the difference! Wagner Design & Construction cleaned, primed, and painted the entire house including trim. WDC also repaired and rebuilt portions of the original woodwork, and replaced rotting shingles.
Historic RestorationWagner Design & Construction specializes in historic restoration. For this project, a rotted back room and porch were taken down and a kitchen addition was rebuilt in its place. The original clapboard siding was salvaged and reused, and new trim was created to match the original Victorian woodwork found on the rest of the house. French doors were added to provide abundant natural light. To view images of this project, click on the thumbnails below:
Bathroom Remodel:The Freeman's turned to Wagner Design & Construction for help with a gutted first-floor bathroom. Starting from scratch, WDC designed a beautiful bathroom that was perfect for their growing needs. We helped the Freemans make decisions on the materials and finishes used in the room, such as the hex tile floor, the vanity/sink combo, and the beadboard stained to match their existing woodwork. WDC installed everything from tile floor to beadboard ceiling, including lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and a new tub and shower.
